These crockpot meatballs are a wonderful high protein addition to any meal and are quick and easy to make for those who find themselves lacking the time to make healthy, nutritious meals. Made with mushrooms, these meatballs provide a healthy punch of antioxidants and potassium, which can help lower blood pressure. Pair with pasta or rice, add them to a sandwich or eat them on their own.
Ingredients:

- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1/2 cup Italian bread crumbs
- 2 eggs (slightly beaten)
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 yellow onion (finely chopped)
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- Redmond Real Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef with the bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese.
- Mix ingredients together, do not overmix as this can cause the meatballs to tough.
- Finally add the beaten eggs, the onions, salt and pepper to taste.
- Form the meatballs using your hands or using a medium-sized cookie scoop. If you form the meatballs by hand, you can coat your hands in a small amount of olive oil to ensure that the mixture doesn’t stick. You should get about 16 meatballs.
- Using a skillet, add olive oil, on high heat just enough to brown the meatballs on all sides.
- When they are done, add them to the crockpot along with marinara sauce, set on low and cook for 5 hours.
