Cooking Tip:
If you’ve been following my recipes, you will more than likely be familiar with Redmond real salt. While regular table salt can be substituted into any of my recipes, I urge everyone to give Redmond Real Salt a try! This salt is one-of-a-kind in terms of salt, it is unrefined sea salt mined from an ancient seabed in Utah that is untouched by modern pollutants. It offers one-of-a-kind nutritional benefits due to the trace minerals it contains that regular salt does not.
Ingredients:
- 2lbs Chicken thighs
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1tsp Redmond real salt
- 2tsp Onion powder
- 2tsp Garlic powder
- 2tsp Parsley flakes
- 2tsp Black pepper
- 1tsp Cayenne pepper
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, mix the salt, onion powder, garlic powder, parsley flakes, black pepper and cayenne pepper until it is well combined.
- Add 2tbsp of olive oil to the bottom of your crockpot and coat the bottom evenly.
- Sprinkle some of the seasoning mixture on the bottom of the crockpot.
- Place the chicken in the crockpot, bone side down, and cover the top of the chicken with the remaining seasoning. Ensure that all chicken thighs are well coated.
- Cover crockpot, set on low and cook for 7 hours.
- This dish can be served with mash potatoes, roasted vegetables, or rice.
